This newbie in our vicinity offers some heavenly nitrogen made ice cream creamlettes (rolls) in front of you, finished with some sparkling toppings.

What to try:  Choco Peanut Butter Sundae, Strawberry Creamlette

The most loved dish of Mumbai at the most loved place! A must visit for all the paav bhaji lovers and others who believe in love at first bite.

On the outdoors of the Haji Ali dargah and mosque (which is situated in the midst of the sea), this eatery offers finger licking fruit creams and juices, among other hunger quenchers. A good reward for being religious I say!

What to try:  Sitaphal fruit crème, Ganga jamuna juice

The closest you can get to fresh fruit ice cream is here. Seeing ice cream being made on a large roller coaster in front of you with fruits being rolled on it, is bliss. Absolutely.

When in Mumbai, eat what Mumbaikars eat! This list would be incomplete without the mention of an eatery offering authentic Marathi food. So this is it!

What to try:  Thalipeeth, Misal Paav, Piyush cold drink

Location: Dadar Shivaji Park (take a cab from KJ SIMSR or train from Vidyavihar till Dadar station). Also recently opened in Ghatkopar east (walking distance, take an auto rickshaw)

Breakfast shenanigans there? This place is famous for its healthy and differently flavoured bagels, in a cozy little café interior.

What to try:  Nutella and banana bagel, hazelnut cold coffee

Location: Marol Naka (take auto rickshaw from KJ  SIMSR or metro from Ghatkopar station till Marol Naka station)

15. K. Rustam

15. Rustam

The oldest and the most celebrated ice cream of Mumbai is this. Run by a Parsi family, they give ice cream sandwiched in wafers.

What to try:  Fresh strawberry, Coffee

Location: Churchgate (take a cab from KJ SIMSR or train from Vidyavihar station till Churchgate station)

Attraction nearby: Marine Drive, Colaba market

 

16. Prithvi Cafe

And last but not the least, do not forget to visit this beauty studded with stars, quite literally! By the virtue of being the café of the Prithvi Theater, performers are often seen munching around you.

What to try: Classic Belgian waffles, Amritsari chhole kulche

Location: Juhu (take an auto rickshaw from KJ SIMSR or train from Vidyavihar station till Vile Parley station and then auto)
